Overview:
Hands-on course with
one student per station. For students already familiar with SLC-500
hardware and RSLogix500 software. Concentrates on the differences between
PLC-5 and SLC-500 platforms including I/O addressing, Block Transfers, and
configuring PLC-5 hardware.
Please note that this is not an
entry-level course. Students who do not have the prerequisite familiarity
with the SLC-500 platform and RSLogix500 programming software should not
attend this class.
Our unique Problem/Solution
teaching method eliminates boring lectures and instead uses realistic
tasks to keep each student actively involved in learning skills which are
required on the job. Small class size with only one student per
workstation allows the instructor to coach each student
over-the-shoulder. By working independently, each student obtains the
maximum benefit from the class regardless of previous experience and skill

Instead of pre-canned scripted labs, each hands-on
exercise presents realistic tasks which require the student to recognize
problems and then to systematically work out solutions. This class
effectively develops the problem-solving skills which other
